An Opening so Grand....

photos by Colin Young-Wolf

The Flaming Lips at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery was incredible tonight! The opening of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" mixed with giant Confetti Cannon's, Wayne surfing the crowd in a massive ball, fog machines, laser lights, over-sized balloons spilling out into the crowd.... an opening so grand it made me teary eyed with joy! It was an assault on the senses in the very BEST way. Hands down, ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS I'VE SEEN IN LA!

Did you hear a click?

If this people were any more cute I might just die. They are so good I am wondering if this is some sort of promotional thing and these people are actors?!

A perfect short. "Loom" by Polynoid

Clear to the point. Beautifully animated and directed. AMAZING sound design. A super unique perspective into the tiny world of survival that is happening right now. waa waa watch it!

Premiering new work this weekend!

I will be premiering some new work this weekend that I am really excited about! I have begun to use a new printing process on metal and the results are really beautiful. This special process allows the luminance of the brushed aluminum to shine through the work and bring out the colors in a way that was impossible before! I am showing with 4 other great artists and there will be food, drink and music at the show and over 35 other galleries open to explore! Hope you can make it!

What it's like to be in a tornado

My hometown of Joplin was hit by a massive tornado. Here is a video that a guy shot while trapped in a convenient store. It's terrifying to say the least!

My New Part-Time Idol

Heart On Promotional Video

Here is a promotional video for the once a month art show Heart On. I wanted to capture the carefree spirit of the event while also filming all the different things that happen. From bands, live painting, djs and a fashion show... there was a lot of running around to do! But it was all worth it.

Heart On is a community Art/Music movement. Everyone is welcome to join the family, we are always looking for artists & musicians for our monthly event held at the Airliner (every1st sunday) email yourhearton@gmail.com to take part in our next show!

Somebody To Love Me (Uncensored)

Madonna's Express yourself & Lady Gaga's Born This Way compared

It could be an innocent mistake...but I don't know! I can't imagine that someone didn't say to Gaga, "Hey this sounds a lot like Madonna's record Express Yourself.

What do you think?
